Experimental Test setup:

  • Plant Type: Tomato (Prunișoare variety)

  • Container: 3L HDPE pots with seedbed soil

  • Initial Irrigation: 250ml per container

  • Temperature Range: 29°C – 43°C (avg. 35°C for the entire period, measured inside the greenhouse) over 26 days

Measurement criteria / Tested variables:

  • Soil humidity retention

  • Days until Point of No Return (PONR) at 10% soil moisture

  • Soil temperature variation

  • Visual plant health (color, leaf firmness)

  • 2 Control plants, 2 with WaterSeed™ (1xtablet), 2 with WaterSeed™ (2xtablet)

CONCLUSIONS :

Superior Water Retention:

Plants treated with WaterSeed™ (2x) retained 2 times more moisture than untreated control at Day 15. WaterSeed™ (1x) maintained 20–30% higher soil humidity until Day 17, after which it sustained a consistent 10% humidity advantage until PONR.

Extended Survival Time:

The presence of WaterSeed™ delayed the onset of irreversible plant stress, significantly extending the survival window during drought conditions.

Better Plant Health:

Only the 2x WaterSeed™ plants maintained vibrant leaf color, firmness, and overall vitality throughout the heat stress period.

Thermal Buffer:

The WaterSeed™ tablets created a “water hopper” effect, buffering root zone temperatures and maintaining a microclimate conducive to plant survival.
